SYDNEY - Palm Beach (11/2/12)

On Saturday we headed to Palm Beach, part of the Northern Beaches with the Thompson’s for a picnic lunch.  Beautiful spot and the houses were absolute mansions.  Definitely home to the rich and famous.  Also home to Summer Bay beach and surf club.  Being such an avid Home and Away fan, Simon was very keen to see these spots!!

In search of a kid friendly beach, we headed south.  Unfortunately by the time we got there, the sunshine had disappeared and the rain had arrived.  Then it got very heavy, so instead of a swim, we headed back to the Thompson’s for the afternoon and a few drinks.  In typical Thomas style, more than a few drinks were consumed (by the boys anyway) and we ended up staying for tea!  We are so glad we did.  We were treated to the yummiest curry and a great catch up.  Chloe and Ben learnt to ride the boys’ skateboards and were pretty impressed with themselves.  The only downer of the night was when Ben put a skateboard through the front window!!!  Thankfully Ben didn’t go through the window with it.
